Projects
Since our beginnings, we have lead or been involved with over 59 projects and managed $140m work of work for our clients.
As Project Managers we have lead from the front on all of these projects and have predominantly been placed right under the client as their “eyes and ears”.
Comments from our clients in their testimonials:
“We undertook a major project building a multi-purpose building with four offices attached. During the planning of this project some challenges arose that were beyond our control. Both Trevor Griffiths and Heather Tomason worked through these challenges to ensure a positive outcome for us. The building is well constructed and will be a great asset to the school for generations to come.”
Liz Ogle, Whangarei Heads School
“The Northland Business Development Trust engaged Griffiths & Associates to project manage the complete redevelopment of our premises. The work was completed on time and exactly on budget. We were very pleased with the level of communication with the Griffiths staff both at meetings and with action and financial reports.”
John Williamson, Northland Business Development Trust
“Griffiths & Associates have been involved with projects at the Quarry Arts Centre for the past four years including getting Code of Compliance for several buildings on site, completing a very comprehensive feasibility study and most recently project managing the rebuild of the Quarry Arts Centre’s iconic building – The Yvonne Rust Gallery. We found them to be incredibly professional, prompt and helped us to complete a beautifully finished building on time and on budget.”
Claire Nicholls, Quarry Arts Centre
“With a major carpark redevelopment, electrical upgrade, installation of heat pumps into eleven rooms, total refurbishment of six classrooms and associated toilet blocks and full boundary fencing all happening at around the same time, there was huge potential for disruption to the running of the school, and unforeseen problems or delays.
Trevor, Heather and the rest of the team at Griffiths & Associates certainly took the hassle out of these property works for us. Their in-depth knowledge of the Ministry of Education Management Handbook and their high quality, professional project management service ensured everything flowed smoothly for us, and all MOE requirements were met.”
“Commendably, all five projects were completed on time and under budget: we could not ask for more”
David Prchal, Morningside School
“From the outset, this company became the front runner in prospective PM providers. This was largely due to the quality and innovation of the product they offered, but also through their knowledge of the education market and processes Duly appointed as Project Managers, Griffiths & Assoc went on to impress not only through their professionalism and work ethic but more importantly through the ‘quality of relationship’ they developed with our school ensuring exceptional communication at all levels of our project”
“At all times Griffiths & Assoc have provided our business with exceptional information, support and communication. They have also liaised excellently not only with our major building contractor but also with all sub contractors in the interest of ensuring prudent financial control, and also in ensuring that a high quality of service and workmanship was maintained.”
“From start to finish the communication from Griffiths & Assoc has been outstanding. The school was always fully informed with what was happening, communication was clear and questions or requests always answered promptly. Meetings were always regular and handled in a very professional manner”
Rick Sayer, Ngunguru School
“From the beginning their team kept us informed of progress, put forward ideas of which we had never even thought and suggested alternatives to the contractors’ plans with regular, initially weekly, meetings and follow up documentation.
They kept on top of the internal construction, monitoring its progress with regular on site inspections. At the end the unsatisfactory items which appeared on the final inspection list were dealt with / corrected”
“As this is a second fit out we have undertaken, we are able to compare the two. Griffiths & Associates was by far the more efficient, user friendly and communicative project managers. We understood at any given time exactly where the project was at. For us, with absolutely no knowledge of the building process, this was invaluable.”
Joan Allan, Lowes & Partners Optometrists
“The school was kept fully informed of potential issues, which were dealt with quickly before problems could arise. The quality of workmanship accepted by our Project Managers was high. The school was kept informed of the fiscal status of the projects on a regular basis with comprehensive financial reports monthly and regular minuted PCG and site meetings.”
Pat Newman, Hora Hora School
“The project has been completed thus far in a collaborative manner and to date our expected outcomes have been exceeded. The end result will be a timely project under budget to a good standard; one that will suit our needs well, now and into the future”.
Peter Burgess, Westmount School
“The completed library is a high quality building which is attractive and fulfils its functions perfectly. The building programme ran to schedule and within budget”.
Adrian Smith, One Tree Point School
“Of particular note to us were the following: The collaborative relationships they built among the groups involved on the project. The speedy response in addressing any alterations to plans or on site. The keeping of all parties on track through minutes of meetings being clear and sent out immediately after the event. The fact that as school governors and managers, we had all the work and worries for the project taken care of. The end result has been the completion of our library on time, under budget and which we are very proud of. The children love it too! We will use Griffiths & Associates on future projects”.
David Hain, Totara Grove School
“We have been kept fully informed of developments and prodded for decisions required, at all times, and been provided with a clear paper trail recording all meeting minutes and other processes. We have been provided with an excellent service by immediate response to any of our queries by email or phone”.
Brian Kent-Smith & Geoff Wallace, The Eye Specialists
“We appointed Griffiths & Associates Ltd as our Project Managers once we had tried another company. The project was completed to an exacting standard to the agreed programme. Griffiths & Associates worked tirelessly in an effort to complete the building with an 18 month old budget”.
John Hamilton, Oceans Tutukaka
“At all times during the project, the standard of service and professionalism provided either met, or exceeded my requirements in all respects. This included attention to project safety, environmental and cultural issues, adherence to budget and general quality of work carried out”.
Loren Blauensteiner, Comalco
“We found Griffiths & Associates to have the practical and realistic skills to bring good savings to the table. The project was not an easy one as it involved a new build of 58 rooms and a total refurbishment of another 38 rooms”.
“As Trevor was involved with this project right from the start, we found the process to be seamless and the project came in on time and budget to the agreed standard”.
